Pediatric Occupational Therapist PRN Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital in Fairfax, VA.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in the NICU and pediatric departments, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patient strengths and areas for improvement
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) or related field
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Virginia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
  • 1 year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in an acute care setting
