Job Title: Pediatric Physical Therapist PRN

Inova Fairfax Hospital's Outpatient Rehabilitation Team is seeking a PRN pediatric physical therapist to join our multidisciplinary pediatric outpatient rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate has experience treating outpatient pediatrics, but will also consider candidates with strong student clinicals in outpatient pediatrics and a strong desire to specialize in outpatient pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select and apply appropriate evaluations and treatment methods for patients' diagnoses, age groups, and physical/emotional statuses.
  • Formulate and adjust treatment plans regularly and appropriately as patients' statuses change.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
  • Document results of evaluations clearly and completely, including all essential elements according to department policy.
  • Complete daily progress notes, discharge notes, and treatment summaries as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide educational materials and methods appropriate to patients' levels of understanding and motivation.
Requirements:
  • Certification in Basic Life Support upon start.
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist upon start.
  • Experience not required, but a Master's degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.
