We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Health Unit Coordinator. This role is responsible for coordinating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, as well as maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient charts and documents
  • Verify completeness of orders, consents, lab results, and signatures
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Utilize computer systems to verify orders and respond to priorities
  • Receive and deliver information timely and accurately
  • Review and maintain documentation related to unit activities
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of administrative experience
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Working Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens and latex. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in this environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
