Practical Nursing Specialist

Maxim Healthcare Services is actively seeking dedicated Practical Nursing Specialists to take on the responsibility and accountability for the implementation of the nursing process and the provision of patient care. The Practical Nursing Specialists exhibit the capability to make clinical decisions in an effective and efficient manner under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Employs the nursing process to assess, plan, execute, and evaluate patient care.
  • Identifies signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and interprets data and information from healthcare team members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
  • Records the patient's care plan using identified nursing diagnoses, anticipated patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
  • Implements interventions according to established priorities, care plan, and the organization's policies and patient care outcome standards.
  • Modifies the care plan based on evaluations, changes in the medical care plan, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
  • Utilizes clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet the patient care needs of an assigned unit, including establishing priorities.
  • Performs other Registered Nurse (RN)/LPN duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state of practice.
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Preferred: One year of prior experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Skills:
  • G-tube management.
  • Tracheostomy care.
  • Ventilator support.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Evening shifts from 3 PM to 11 PM.
  • Full-time, Part-time, or PRN options available.
