Job Title: HVAC Lead Installer

As a Lead HVAC Installer, you will be responsible for leading a team of installers and executing professional install jobs. You will work closely with your crew to ensure that installations are done properly, safely, and to the high standards of Michael Bonsby HVAC & Plumbing.

About the Role:
  • Lead a team of installers and execute professional install jobs
  • Work closely with your crew to ensure installations are done properly, safely, and to high standards
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation units
  • Maintain proper inventory, parts, tools, and knowledge in using appropriate safety equipment in the vehicle
  • Mentor and train apprentices on the job and provide them with learning opportunities
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of field experience
  • Active Driver's License
  • Tech Savvy - The ability to use tablets and learn work-related software with ease
  • Verifiable experience to develop quotations for repairs and installations of replacement equipment
  • Demonstrable analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
  • Proven ability in installing, replacing, and serving HVAC systems in new residential and commercial properties
  • Willingness to work weekends (Saturdays) or on-call shifts when needed
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
  • Must consider safety one's primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements.
  • To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit; stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls; hear, and talk.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces.
  • The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required.
  • The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons.
