The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences at our service locations, utilizing their technical expertise and strong communication skills to resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a dynamic and resourceful leader who can foster cross-functional interaction, champion a culture of continuous improvement, and provide top-notch service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support pre-production vehicle builds by assisting cross-functional teams.
  • Travel to locations as required to support service operations, including production plants.
  • Operate remotely until local service centers are established.
  • Follow Rivian's repair procedures with efficiency, quality, and safety in mind.
  • Perform complex diagnoses, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles.
  • Conduct road tests to ensure the quality of repairs.
  • Manage parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical skills and required training.
  • Support campaigns and containment initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate expense reporting as needed.
  • Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in an ever-changing environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school preferred.
  • Leadership, mentorship, and influencing team experience preferred.
  • At least 5 years of automotive experience preferred.
  • 3 or more years of experience working on vehicle high-voltage systems and HV diagnostic work preferred.
  • Proficient in navigating laptops or computers in a Windows or Mac environment.
  • Experience using test tools (PICO-Scope, PCAN, Kavaser Memorator, breakout box, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in bumper-to-bumper diagnosis and repair.
  • Ability to drive non-commercial trucks and trailers preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, or as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • No driving-related suspensions or revocation of driver's license (within a 3-5-year period).
  • Parts department and billing experience preferred.
  • Experience using work order management systems, including repair documentation.
  • Experience working in start-up environments preferred.
  • Ability to remain positive in difficult situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, along with attention to detail.
  • Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks.
  • Frequent use of hands for tool operation, data entry, writing, or communication.
  • Ability to read and speak fluent English.
  • Ability to see, read, and interpret documents (schematics, safety rules, etc.).
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Availability for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business needs.
  • Ability to properly document repairs.
