Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer, IC Test Development Specialist to join our team at Infineon Technologies. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing automated test equipment (ATE) solutions for our best-in-class system-on-chip (SoC) products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop ATE Test Packages: Design and develop ATE test packages for wafer probe, final test production, and product characterization for Infineon's leading-edge digital power management new products.
  • Document Test Requirements: Document test requirements, test concepts, create test plans, and develop test methods to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
  • Collaborate with Design Teams: Work closely with design and concept engineers to incorporate design for testability (DfT) features into new products, ensuring quality at a low cost of test.
  • Develop Test Hardware and Software: Develop test hardware using EDA tools, create test programs, convert ATPG test patterns, integrate with test equipment and hardware, debug, and validate them on ATE.
  • Reduce Test Cost and Improve Quality: Identify opportunities to reduce test cost and improve the quality of existing test solutions through test method improvements and test platform transfers.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies, evaluating new test platforms and innovating new test concepts for optimized test throughput.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, Physics, or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience developing production test solutions for mixed-signal ICs or modules using ATE.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of electronic engineering principles, including analog and digital circuits, power devices, and high-speed signal integrity. Experience designing PCBs using schematic capture tools such as Cadence Allegro.
  • Programming Skills: Sound test-programming skills and experience programming in C/C++, Vbasic, embedded programming, LabVIEW, and script languages.
  • Industry Experience: Working experience in Teradyne J750, Ultra Flex, ETS-364, ETS-800, or Advantest V93K is highly desirable.
  • Design for Testability and Manufacturability: Knowledge in design for testability and manufacturability, BIST, test firmware, and ability to articulate constructively with design teams and product engineering teams to ensure that DfT is understood by all involved and specified and validated at early stages of development.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, communications, and teamwork.
