The Hallmark-Crown Center Building Services department is responsible for comprehensive janitorial services essential for maintaining our facilities. This includes a variety of support tasks, such as extensive cleaning and disinfecting in accordance with health guidelines, waste management, pest control, sanitation, and snow removal.

Position Overview:

The Building Specialist Custodian role involves a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Performing floor maintenance tasks such as stripping and waxing, as well as cleaning and stocking restrooms and lounge areas.
  • Utilizing ladders or scaffolding to clean walls, ceilings, ducts, vents, and light fixtures.
  • Conducting sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and shampooing in various areas, including hallways, offices, and production spaces.
  • Operating mechanical cleaning equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality.
  • Managing waste disposal and recycling processes, including handling various materials and operating compactors.
  • Preparing office spaces for transitions, including cleaning furniture and equipment.
  • Handling snow removal and applying de-icing materials as necessary.

Schedule: This is a 2nd shift position, typically Monday to Friday, with hours from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Future adjustments to the schedule may occur.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in custodial services.
  • Proficiency in using various cleaning equipment.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

  • Strong safety awareness and flexibility in task management.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
