Overview
The Healthcare Support Specialist will play a crucial role in monitoring and documenting patient health metrics, assisting healthcare professionals during assessments, and ensuring a smooth operational flow within the health center.
Primary Duties
- Records and monitors patient health indicators
- Supports medical personnel during patient evaluations
- Applies CPR techniques when required
- Manages medical supplies and equipment
- Instructs patients on care procedures
- Ensures patient information confidentiality
- Engages in professional development activities
- Handles administrative tasks in the front office
- May conduct basic health screenings
- Collects blood samples as needed
- Prepares and dispenses medications
- Facilitates patient referrals
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience: At least one year of experience in a healthcare support role
Certifications: Valid CPR (BLS) certification required
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, dedication to preventive health initiatives, and experience with diverse patient populations
