Job Summary
At HELP-Hire Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Collect and document patient and family data, including vital signs, I&Os, and hygiene.
- Provide patient care and collaborate with the RN to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care.
- Maintain accountability for personal and professional development.
- Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, effective communication, and strong customer service skills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED accredited by the Board of Education.
- Completion of a certified nursing assistant program or similar, with qualifications such as a Diploma, Course Certificate, Associate Degree, etc.
- Enrollment in a BSN program, with at least one clinical rotation completed by the time of hiring.
- Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience with inpatient experience strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Assists in collecting and documenting patient and family data, including but not limited to vital signs, I&Os, and hygiene.
- Provides high-quality, cost-effective patient care, collaborating with the RN and involving patient and family as needed.
- Maintains accountability for personal and professional development.
- Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, effective communication, and strong customer service skills as they float across all units.
Additional Requirements
- Commitment to a safe and healthy workplace; successful candidates must complete respiratory fit testing per occupational health and safety standards.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work NIGHT SHIFT: 7 PM - 7 AM.
