Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Admissions Registered Nurse to join our team at Central Florida Behavioral Hospital. As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient intake process for patients seeking treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and triage patient mental health status, making recommendations for level of care and patient safety.
  • Coordinate admissions with unit staff and physicians, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Verify insurance coverage and pre-certify patient care, identifying potential barriers to treatment.
  • Follow EMTALA regulations, identifying high-risk individuals presenting for emergency care.
Job Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • One year of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of six months in psychiatric nursing preferred.
  • Knowledge of current nursing procedures and protocols.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • Current CPR certification required.
