Role Overview

The Clinical Research Associate (Infusion Specialist) will engage in regional travel combined with remote telehealth responsibilities to facilitate our clinical research initiatives. This role requires expertise in administering investigational therapies (IV, SC, TD, IM, PO), conducting physical assessments, and monitoring for any reactions related to investigational products, among other essential tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator to ensure the effective implementation of study protocols, delegating responsibilities to site personnel as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other applicable regulations.
  • Participate in meetings with management and team members to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
  • Provide virtual or in-person consultations for study participants, addressing their inquiries and resolving any medical issues that arise during study visits.
  • Complete all required documentation for each study visit in accordance with the approved protocol.
  • Administer investigational products through various routes and maintain proficiency in starting and managing intravenous lines.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and ensure proper laboratory processing practices.
  • Contribute to the management of infusion-related reactions as part of a collaborative clinical team.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient clinical environment to uphold the highest standards of patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, investigators, and study participants.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Master's Level Science Degree, with a focus on Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant qualifications and a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in clinical practice with a strong emphasis on infusion skills.
  • A valid and active license in good standing in one or more states.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Clinical Research Associate in a research environment.
