About The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is a non-profit organization that provides rehabilitation programs for men and women. Our Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program that assists individuals in their journey to recovery.

About Our Retail Team

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Retail Team as a Donation Attendant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized donation area, assisting donors with the receipt of donated items, and separating and sorting donations into the proper containers.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized donation area, including the trailer/pod and surrounding areas
  • Assist donors with the receipt of donated items and provide receipts
  • Separate and sort donations into the proper containers
  • Assist with loading donations onto trucks as needed
  • Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out
  • Secure and lock the donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must pass a background check, including a criminal history and sex offender registry check
  • Ability to read and write, and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts
  • Ability to move product up to 75lbs
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
Work Schedule

Our stores operate 7 days a week. Work schedules are determined by management and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage. Full-time associates may be scheduled to work any full-time shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
