Job Title: Banquet Manager

LAZ Parking is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team at our luxury hotel in West Hollywood, CA.

About the Role:

The Banquet Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial, operational, safety, and service-related success at the hotel. This includes managing the activities of Shift Leads, Captains, and frontline staff, ensuring increased revenue, controlled expenses, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage meeting space functions in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Implement and maintain a service and management philosophy to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
  • Direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training.
Requirements:
  • Management experience in a luxury hotel/hospitality environment required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as Banquet Manager in a hotel required.
  • Knowledge of specific meeting room set-up styles.
  • Knowledge of staffing guidelines for various sized events.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Compute basic arithmetic.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Desirable Skills:
  • Ability to input and access information in computers/point of sales system.
  • Previous guest relations training.
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Be a critical thinker, remain calm, and resolve problems using good judgment.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold).
  • Ability to work under variable noise levels.
  • Ability to work both outdoors and indoors.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
