Front Desk Agent Job Description

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and Assist Guests: Welcome and tend to guests in a positive and friendly manner, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Front Desk Operations: Maintain a constant presence at the front desk, processing check-ins and check-outs, and handling billing and payments.
  • Room Management: Manage room availability, create reservations, and answer phone calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Guest Communication: Effectively communicate with guests and other staff members, anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to issues.
  • Security and Confidentiality: Maintain the security of guest information, keys, and cash drawer, ensuring confidentiality and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Preferred customer service experience and experience in the hotel industry.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability: Availability to include weekends and ability to stand for 8 hours (accommodations can be made for all ADA qualified candidates).
