Job Description

Newport Mental Health is a leading provider of mental health services, dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families in Newport County. We are seeking a highly motivated and bilingual School Liaison to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with Newport County Schools and No Wrong Door to increase access to mental health services for youth and young adults.
  • Support pathways to care for clients, including developing connections between stakeholders and services.
  • Communicate NMH values and norms effectively, demonstrating a strong understanding of behavioral health assessment and interventions.
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and document in an electronic health record (HER).
  • Adhere to confidentiality regulations and maintain exceptional boundaries and ethics.
  • Develop and manage schedules as needed, utilizing project management skills to support effective marketing and education of services to community members.
  • Implement online and offline strategies to collect feedback, recommendations, and input from the community.
  • Support the development of effective business partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in a high-level administrative position with independent problem-solving and leadership abilities.
  • Bilingual – fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced understanding of PowerPoint, Excel, and other electronic platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and with groups of people.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with a flexible and solution-focused work style.
