About the Role

Newport Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bilingual School Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our community outreach team, you will play a vital role in increasing access and engagement of services for youth and young adults with mental illness and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain positive relationships with Newport County Schools, No Wrong Door, and other stakeholders to support clinical and administrative pathways to care.
  • Support pathways to care for clients, resulting in increased census in HT and other programs targeting youth and young adults.
  • Effectively communicate NMH values and norms in all efforts, demonstrating a strong understanding of behavioral health assessment and interventions.
  • Develop and manage schedules as needed, utilizing project management skills to support the effective marketing and education of services to community members.
  • Initiate and maintain strengths-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders, adhering to NMH policies and practices.

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience in a high-level administrative position with independent problem-solving and leadership abilities.
  • Bilingual - fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced understanding of PowerPoint, Excel, and other electronic platforms.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and with groups of people.
  • Highly organized and works well as part of a team, with a proactive, flexible, and solution-focused work style.
