Job Title: Stroke Coordinator RN

Join Tenet Massachusetts as a Stroke Coordinator RN and be part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Stroke Coordinator RN, you will play a vital role in facilitating and coordinating the Key Elements of the Stroke Certification process, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, efficient care throughout their continuum of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Emergency Department, ED Director, EMS, hospital department directors, and staff to develop and review protocols, initial and ongoing training, performance improvement, and community outreach.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives for Stroke Certification in collaboration with the ED Director, ED Manager, Stroke Team, and Quality Management Director.
  • Perform daily concurrent and retrospective review of patients treated with Stroke Clinical Pathways for appropriateness, response times, performance, and outcomes.
  • Collect and analyze stroke program patient data to assist with documentation, clinical care, and improved outcomes.
  • Track, trend, and share results with Neurologists, ED physicians, Radiology, Laboratory, and ED to determine cause for variance.
  • Participate in concurrent quality improvement program for stroke conditions with EMS personnel by review of patient-level data.
  • Promote education related to Stroke and cardiac conditions to identified units and other hospital personnel.
  • Support and collaborate with Hospital/Education and Marketing to develop community outreach/educational programs.
Requirements:
  • Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing, academic degree in nursing Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
