Job Title: Stroke Coordinator RN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Coordinator RN to join our team at Tenet Massachusetts. As a Stroke Coordinator RN, you will play a critical role in facilitating and coordinating the Key Elements of the Stroke Certification process, including development and review of protocols, initial and ongoing training, performance improvement and community outreach.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Emergency Department, ED Director, EMS, hospital department directors and staff to develop and implement patient care pathways based on current research/standards of care.
  • Ensure personnel providing care in the Stroke/Neuro units obtain and maintain required competencies in collaboration with Education Department.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives for Stroke Certification in collaboration with ED Director, ED Manager, Stroke Team and the Quality Management Director.
  • Perform daily concurrent and retrospective review of patients treated with Stroke Clinical Pathways for appropriateness, response times, performance and outcomes as applicable in collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
  • Collect and analyze stroke program patient data to assist with documentation, clinical care, and improved outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 5 years' Clinical experience to include telemetry.
  • Familiarity with the Neuroscience patient population and Stroke evidenced based medicine requirements.
  • Proficient in a variety of software and computer programs to include but not limited to Cerner, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Process Improvement/Quality management methodologies to include statistical analysis.
