Job Title: Stroke Coordinator

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled Stroke Coordinator to join our team at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts.Job Summary:

The Stroke Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the Key Elements of the Stroke Certification process, including development and review of protocols, initial and ongoing training, performance improvement, and community outreach. This role will collaborate with the Emergency Department, ED Director, EMS, hospital department directors, and staff to achieve these goals.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review protocols for Stroke Certification
  • Provide initial and ongoing training for staff
  • Conduct performance improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with community organizations for outreach and education
  • Coordinate with ED Director, EMS, and hospital departments to ensure seamless care
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives for Stroke Certification
  • Conduct daily concurrent and retrospective review of patients treated with Stroke Clinical Pathways
  • Prepare reports and presentations for committees
  • Support Quality PI initiatives related to other service linesRequirements:
    • 5 years' Clinical experience, including telemetry
    • Familiarity with Neuroscience patient population and Stroke evidenced-based medicine requirements
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently and be self-directed
    • Proficient in a variety of software and computer programs, including Cerner, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of Process Improvement/Quality management methodologiesQualifications:
      • Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing, academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's)
      • Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR
