The Healthcare Service Coordinator plays a vital role within the Pacific Medical Centers team, facilitating the seamless delivery of various patient care services. This position requires a high degree of autonomy in managing a diverse range of administrative and clerical responsibilities.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential for addressing patient care and clinic-related issues effectively.
This role encompasses a variety of front office administrative tasks within both primary care and specialty departments. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing patient referrals and registrations (as applicable).
- Coordinating patient scheduling and ensuring efficient appointment management.
- Providing exceptional customer service and handling phone inquiries.
- Greeting visitors and performing various clerical duties.
- Ordering and maintaining office supplies and providing backup support services.
- Collecting co-payments and arranging for interpreter services when necessary.
- Executing other clinic-related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical or healthcare environment; or
- At least 2 years in a customer service capacity.
- 6 months of recent experience in a receptionist or front desk role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 months of relevant experience with recurring appointments.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic medical record procedures.
