Job Summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a skilled Operations Planner to join our Gas Distribution team. As an Operations Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective utilization of distribution resources, maximizing productivity, and controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate short and long-term forecasting and staffing models to ensure the efficient allocation of resources.
  • Generate district work plans and schedules that meet workload demands, providing contingency plans to rebalance workload as needed.
  • Monitor current and future workload to ensure district plans and schedules maximize productivity and meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Schedule and assign procedures as required with internal and external crews, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
  • Work closely with various departments to track, schedule, and assign compliance and mandated program work to meet all compliance dates.
  • Ensure that all projects are executed and closed out in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner, adhering to Company policy.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly workload status reports for management, providing insights into operational performance and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Requires working and technical knowledge of specific Distribution departmental activities, including construction standards, operating and maintenance procedures, and regulations related to Distribution field activity.
  • Ability to use PC desktop applications, such as Microsoft Office, Work Management, and spreadsheets.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in workload planning and resource allocation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Gas Operations or a related field.
Working Conditions
  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
  • This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing, and successful applicants will be subject to a pre-assignment drug test and random drug testing.
