Position Summary:
The primary objective of this role is to enhance departmental performance to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve PAC's business objectives. This encompasses overseeing all facets of production, supply chain operations, scheduling, and maintenance, ensuring seamless coordination to meet production targets, uphold quality standards, and maximize efficiency. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Formulate and implement operational strategies that align with the company's goals. Lead initiatives aimed at boosting production efficiency, minimizing costs, and enhancing overall plant performance.
  2. Production Oversight: Manage daily manufacturing operations, including scheduling, planning, and process optimization. Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory mandates.
  3. Supply Chain Oversight: Direct the supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics. Collaborate with suppliers to guarantee timely material delivery while maintaining cost efficiency.
  4. Team Development: Provide robust leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  5. Performance Evaluation: Establish KPIs and metrics to assess operational performance. Analyze data and trends to identify improvement areas and implement necessary corrective actions.
  6. Scheduling: Create and maintain production schedules to ensure optimal resource utilization and timely product delivery. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align schedules with customer demands and business priorities.
  7. Maintenance Coordination: Assist in managing maintenance tasks in collaboration with the Maintenance Department to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize the use of scheduled downtime.
  8. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of workplace safety. Implement best practices for health, safety, and environmental sustainability.
  9. Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Finance, HR, Sales) to ensure alignment and effective communication across the organization.
  10. Adhere to all PAC policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience in operations management within aerospace manufacturing or a similar industry, with a solid understanding of CNC Machining, production processes, scheduling, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a diverse team.
  • Strategic thinker capable of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to manage change effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Experience in budgeting and/or P&L management.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
