Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a talented Administrative Assistant - HR Department to join our team at Ole Mexican Foods, INC. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining employee records, updating databases, and preparing payroll documents.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to handle sensitive information confidentially, and possess a strong passion for HR policies and procedures.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience in HR functions in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate employee records, both digital and physical
- Update HR databases with new hires, separations, vacation, and sick leaves
- Assist in preparing payroll by providing relevant data on absences, bonus, and leaves
- Prepare documentation for HR policies and procedures
- Process employees' requests and provide necessary information
- C coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training seminars
- Collaborate with the Recruiter to post job ads and process incoming resumes
- Manage the department's telephone center and address queries accordingly
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications
- Provide orientations for new employees, sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) is a plus, but not required
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven work experience as an HR administrative assistant
- Familiarity with HR software, such as HRIS or HRMS
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Knowledge of labor legislation in California
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year, based on industry standards
