Job Overview

Hunt Electric, Inc. and Instrument Control Company (ICC) is on the lookout for a dedicated professional to take on the role of Manufacturing Project Manager/Estimator. This position is crucial for our operations, focusing on overseeing intricate manufacturing initiatives from the initial concept to final execution.

In this significant position, you will be tasked with managing resources, timelines, and financial plans to guarantee that projects are completed punctually and adhere to the highest quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will lead the bidding, estimation, and installation processes for electrical panel construction projects, catering to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct cross-functional teams to effectively implement manufacturing projects.
  • Formulate and oversee comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Establish preliminary schedules to ensure clients are informed of lead times using just-in-time methodologies.
  • Build and maintain essential relationships with suppliers, clients, and service providers.
  • Ensure all projects are completed within the agreed timeframe, scope, and budget.
  • Review contract drawings and specifications, ensuring project compliance.
  • Manage change orders efficiently.
  • Prepare invoices and guarantee prompt payment processing.
  • Track material and labor costs, ensuring accurate quality reporting.
  • Analyze and forecast project cost reports, assessing job status regarding schedule and expenses.
  • Monitor unit costs and compare daily site progress with project estimates.
  • Conduct project coordination meetings as necessary.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all vendors, effectively resolving issues related to delivery, labor, scheduling, and payment disputes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager with a successful history of delivering complex projects in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Ability to apply innovative management techniques to enhance employee performance.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing practices, processes, and standards and their influence on project activities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Experience in environments adhering to ISO-9001 and ULXXX standards.
  • Proficient in computer systems and quick to learn estimating and project management software.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with MS Projects, Excel, Google Docs, and Blue Beam is preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a standard working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm and Friday 7:00 am - 2:00 pm.
