Job Overview

Hunt Electric, Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Project Manager/Estimator. This full-time position is essential for overseeing the bidding, estimating, and execution of electrical panel construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate estimates and proposals based on the documentation provided at the time of bidding.
  • Maintain and organize bid documentation effectively.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Establish preliminary schedules to provide clients with lead times utilizing just-in-time methodologies.
  • Build and nurture key relationships with vendors, clients, and service providers.
  • Prepare and manage preconstruction budgets and timelines.
  • Review contract drawings and specifications to ensure project compliance.
  • Handle and manage change orders efficiently.
  • Prepare invoices and ensure prompt payment processing.
  • Monitor material and labor costs, ensuring accurate quality reporting.
  • Analyze and forecast project cost reports to assess job status in terms of schedule and budget.
  • Maintain awareness of unit costs and track daily progress against project estimates.
  • Facilitate project coordination meetings as necessary.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all vendors to resolve issues related to delivery, labor, scheduling, and payments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:Essential Skills:
  • Exceptional organizational and planning abilities.
  • Ability to implement innovative management techniques to enhance team performance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry practices and their implications on project activities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer systems and quick to learn estimating and project management software.
Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with MS Projects, Excel, Google Docs, and Blue Beam.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in the field.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a standard working schedule from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
