Hunt Electric, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled professional to fill the full-time role of Project Manager/Estimator. This position will be based in our office and involves overseeing the bidding, estimating, and execution of electrical panel building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop estimates and proposals based on the documentation provided at the time of bidding.
  • Maintain and organize bid documentation effectively.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Establish preliminary schedules to provide clients with accurate lead times using just-in-time methodologies.
  • Build and nurture key relationships with vendors, clients, and service providers.
  • Prepare and manage preconstruction budgets and timelines.
  • Review contract drawings and specifications to ensure project compliance.
  • Handle and oversee change orders efficiently.
  • Prepare invoices and ensure prompt payment processing.
  • Monitor material and labor costs, ensuring accurate quality reporting.
  • Analyze and interpret project cost reports to assess job status regarding schedule and budget.
  • Stay informed about unit costs and track daily progress against project estimates.
  • Facilitate project coordination meetings as necessary.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with all vendors to resolve issues related to delivery, labor, scheduling, and payments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Familiarity with MS Projects, Excel, Google Docs, and Blue Beam is advantageous.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects effectively.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in the field.
