Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part Time Front End Manager to join our team at Joann. As a Part Time Front End Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity within our customers and making Joann their Happy Place.

Key Responsibilities

Hearts

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting every customer and using the F.A.S.T. service model to meet their needs.
  • Engage with customers about their projects while serving them at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor.
  • Process customer transactions at the cutting counter and cash register in an efficient and friendly manner.

Hands

  • Process customer transactions at the cutting counter and cash register in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • Lift, place, and arrange items on shelves and racks.
  • Stock shelves accurately according to planogram while maintaining a high level of productivity and close attention to detail.

Minds

  • Drive sales through product knowledge, active selling techniques, suggesting services, and building strong customer relationships.
  • Assist leadership in minimizing shrink in the store by ensuring policy and procedure compliance.
  • Work with store management to identify opportunities to drive the business and increase sales/profit.

Inspire

  • Work closely with Store Management to identify key tasks and assist in delegating them to Team Members.
  • Follow-up to ensure tasks are completed well and in a timely manner.
  • May act as MOD to open/close store when no member of store management is present.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: 1+ years of supervisory experience in a customer-centric environment

Preferred: 2-3+ years of retail supervisory experience

Physical Requirements

  • Stand during an entire shift (other than normal break time).
  • Continuously walk around all areas of the store throughout shift.
  • Read written instructions, reports, and other information on paper and computer screens.
  • Orally communicate with customers and other team members on consistent basis throughout their shift.

Availability

Part-time status requires availability that meets the needs of the store. Part-time Team Members are generally scheduled to work less than an average of 28 hours per week in a measurement period, as defined by Joann and are not guaranteed any particular number of hours per week.

Full-time status requires open availability and the ability to work at least an average of 36 hours per week over the course of a year.
