Position Overview:
The Electrical Systems Technician is responsible for designing control systems tailored for various machine applications, ranging from basic to intermediate complexity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Component selection and layout design for control panels, junction boxes, and operator stations, utilizing AutoCAD Electrical to produce schematics.
  • Creation of bills of materials for assigned projects.
  • Obtaining quotes for components and processing orders through purchasing software.
  • Receiving and staging parts for assembly.
  • Leading or assisting in the assembly and testing of new machinery.
  • Supporting the installation and start-up of new equipment and control systems.
  • Providing troubleshooting assistance for existing equipment, which may involve remote support or on-site visits.
  • Delivering training to plant personnel as part of the equipment commissioning process and through the Engineering Pathways program.
  • Documenting project details for inclusion in the equipment manual, collaborating with technical writers.
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 25%) and work some weekends.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
  • A minimum of two years of formal education beyond high school in a related field or at least four years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Rockwell Software, including RSLogix 500, Studio 5000 Logix Designer, and FactoryTalk View (SE or ME).
  • A comprehensive understanding of electrical controls technology.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Capability to create electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
