Job Summary:

The Senior Research Data Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and patient-related services to support the Health Services Research (HSR) team. This includes managing multiple tasks, establishing priorities, and ensuring the accurate collection, verification, and management of protocol-required data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for multiple assigned minimal risk studies, identifying potential protocol candidates, and providing study-specific information.
  • Collaborate with other research team members and/or study principal investigator (PI) regarding subject eligibility questions.
  • Participate in the informed consent process and register subjects utilizing the institutional clinical trial management system according to institutional policy.
  • Document study-specific information appropriately in the patient medical record.
  • Conduct semi-structured interviews with research subjects for protocol data collection.
  • Administer questionnaires to eligible participants in the outpatient and inpatient setting.
  • Coordinate with research staff to identify and address any study-related issues, including but not limited to inadequate or missing source documentation, adverse event reporting, and protocol deviations.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed screening log as well as patient tracking systems.
  • Assist with follow-up appointments and provide telephone reminders to patients.
  • Interact with members of the interdisciplinary team inter and intra-departmentally to obtain pertinent information and verify the status of ongoing projects.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years of related experience. With preferred degree, no experience required.
  • Preferred experience: Medical or data abstraction experience, prior experience with human subjects research, excellent writing and speaking communication skills, adaptable, organized, good team player, and strongly prefer Bilingual Spanish.
Work Schedule:

This position has a hybrid onsite/remote schedule. This individual will work onsite a few days per week. During training, this could possibly require to be onsite 4 days. Transportation is needed to be able to go to various sites (potentially).
