Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Nurse to join our team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage clinical research studies, including protocol development, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and institutional regulations, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including education and support for patients and families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain research documents, including informed consent forms and case report forms.
  • Monitor and report adverse events and protocol deviations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current State of Texas Professional Nursing License (RN).
  • Two years of registered nurse experience, preferably in a clinical research setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
  • Experience with electronic data systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working days, with a minimum salary of $76,500 and a maximum salary of $126,000. The position is exempt and not eligible for overtime pay.
