Job Summary

UTHealth is seeking a highly skilled Research Coordinator II to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for providing administrative project management and scientific direction for research projects of considerable scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day administrative project management and provide scientific direction for research projects.
  • Provide day-to-day project management coordination for research projects, including personnel, facilities, supplies, budgets, and timeliness.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and grant proposals to private foundations and governmental agencies.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and initiate re-budgeting requests based on research staff needs.
  • Authorize expenditures for multiple projects and attend research-planning meetings to assist in budget preparation.
  • Prepare annual progress reports and applications for various committees and ensure staff receives proper training.
  • Maintain confidential records of collected data and ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Interact with representatives from state, federal, and private agencies regarding proposals and funded projects.
  • Provide work administrative direction and guidance to administrative staff personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
