Position Summary

We are in search of a proficient Scrum Master to enhance our operations at the Commercial Innovation Center. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies and will be adept at guiding and mentoring diverse teams to produce high-quality software and technical solutions. This role emphasizes the importance of coaching teams, eliminating obstacles, and facilitating Agile practices to ensure project success. Effective collaboration with a variety of developers, product owners, and stakeholders is crucial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute responsibilities as outlined in the Scrum guide.
  • Facilitate essential Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Encourage self-organization, cross-functionality, and adherence to Scrum principles within the team.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles that may impede team progress.
  • Promote a collaborative and productive atmosphere, fostering open communication and teamwork.
  • Coach team members in embracing Agile values, principles, and practices, ensuring iterative and incremental development.
  • Monitor team performance, track relevant metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Encourage continuous improvement through regular retrospectives for evaluation and adaptation.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Maintain project management tools and documentation.
  • Assist program management with staffing and resource allocation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
  • Professional Scrum Certification from Scrum Alliance.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Scrum Master.
  • At least 3 years' experience working on a Scrum team.
  • Strong servant leadership capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Scrum framework, Agile values, and principles.
  • Exceptional facilitation, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Proven capacity to motivate a diverse team towards achieving objectives.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Agile tools and project management software, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple product teams.
  • Capability to work with a diverse range of technical and organizational personnel.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desired:

  • Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication (TS/SCI) and CI Poly.
  • Experience in DevSecOps.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Continuous Deployment practices and tools.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Comfortable with complex technical concepts and technologies.

Compensation

The typical compensation range for this position is $115,000 - $149,500, based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
