Position Overview
SAIC's National Security Group is in search of an Agile Systems Coach Engineer to contribute to a significant program focused on comprehensive lifecycle management of critical systems. This role necessitates an active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with system stakeholders and technical teams to facilitate understanding and execution of methods for assessing and prioritizing cross-program capabilities and requirements.
- Deliver coaching, insights, and guidance to government teams on Agile systems engineering methodologies, practices, and activities, leveraging industry best practices.
- Provide mentorship on specific roles, including but not limited to: Solution Managers, Solution Train Engineers, Release Train Engineers, and Product Owners.
- Actively identify opportunities to implement process enhancements and re-engineering strategies to drive improvements.
- Utilize systems analysis and design methodologies to evaluate technical debt, architectural runway, and efficiency trade-offs in relation to current and proposed cloud-based software system designs.
- Develop and support Agile maturity evaluations and coaching strategies for Solution and Program level teams.
- Assist in the identification, collection, and reporting of Agile execution metrics to communicate progress, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Create presentations and training materials for Solution and Program level teams.
- Organize and facilitate Release Planning sessions to establish release objectives and roadmaps.
- Encourage positive team dynamics to enhance overall team performance.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience; Master's degree with seven (7) years of experience; or PhD with four (4) years of related experience. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools, such as Jira.
- Certification as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, or Agile Coach.
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and communication skills, capable of conveying information across diverse audiences.
- Ability to facilitate larger sessions or events for release planning and similar activities.
- Experience with NRO operations (preferably Ground).
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks, particularly SAFe.
- Knowledge of IC and/or DoD space architectures, systems, and operations is advantageous.
