Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Deliver outstanding service to guests both in-person and via phone, assisting with clothing selections and providing comprehensive information about Martha's Table's offerings.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the organization and tracking of clothing donations, ensuring efficient sorting and preparation for partner pickups.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of sales and member interactions using our point-of-sale and customer relationship management systems.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Lead and collaborate with volunteers to fulfill daily operational tasks across various service channels.
  • Store Presentation: Create an inviting shopping environment by arranging merchandise attractively and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely completion of orders for community partners and members.
  • Organizational Participation: Engage in events and activities that support the broader mission of Martha's Table, including meetings and community outreach initiatives.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned, embodying the core values of compassion, respect, teamwork, and accountability.
Qualifications
  • Strong alignment with Martha's Table's mission and values.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Proficient time management and problem-solving abilities in dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Basic understanding of retail operations and apparel.
  • Strong administrative capabilities, including data entry and use of POS systems.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Public speaking comfort is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
