Job Title: Behavioral Health Specialist

St. Xavier Home Care Services is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to provide essential services to children and their families.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Specialist will work with children and their families to address behavioral health barriers, promote socialization, and enhance community adjustment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of children's mental health, addiction, and foster care, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services to assist children and their families in relearning, restoring, or readjusting skills, socialization, and community adjustment.
  • Offer Planned Respite services to provide short-term relief for children and caregivers, enhancing the family's ability to support the child's functional, developmental, and behavioral health.
  • Deliver Caregiver/Family Advocacy and Support Services to prevent problems in the community setting and provide training for successful placement and community adjustment.
  • Provide Prevocational Services to develop and teach general skills, such as communication, workplace conduct, and problem-solving.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related human services preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in children's mental health, addiction, and/or foster care; or one year of experience in human services working with children/youth.
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred.
Work Environment:

Services will be provided in the home, mainly in the afternoon. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to children and their families.

Compensation:

$30.00 per hour; $22.00 per hour for Prevocational Services; $17.50 per hour for Planned Respite.
