Job Summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead our store's operational processes and deliver exceptional customer service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing inventory, visual merchandising, and customer service, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager in planning and executing store workload, including scheduling and inventory management.
  • Lead and manage adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support and participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure efficient and accurate inventory management.
  • Manage and execute inventory management processes, including receiving, stocking, and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Lead and manage visual merchandising standards, including feature space and seasonal layouts.
  • Manage and execute merchandise operations, including sales floor management and customer service.
  • Manage and execute shrink and safety programs to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Train, observe, and coach team members to achieve results and support talent development.
  • Interact with customers in a positive and respectful manner, providing solutions and assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • Retail management leadership experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment

Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas, some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
