US Brand Strategist

Key Objectives:

Actively engage in the two-year product development cycle, contributing to the Brand Development Outline (BDO) and managing the brand's Profit and Loss (P&L) with a primary focus on the US market landscape, identifying opportunities for growth and market share expansion.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in a marketing role within a similar environment.

• A degree in a relevant field, such as Marketing.

• Familiarity with the toy industry and marketing to children is highly desirable.

• Experience in consumer insights and product development is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Brand Oversight

• Assist in crafting and implementing Brand and Marketing strategies, beginning with the brand directional outline, identifying market gaps through a deep understanding of retailer and competitive dynamics across all markets.

• Conduct competitive landscape assessments in collaboration with the Data & Analytics team to establish pricing and product line architecture, pinpointing gaps or opportunities for growth.

• Present findings from US New Product Development (NPD) and action plans to drive brand performance to global partners and leadership teams.

• Facilitate brand and product research discussions in partnership with the global brand team, ensuring that all initiatives align with long-term growth objectives.

• Conduct post-launch analysis and performance reviews against the competitive landscape to inform future planning, aiming to increase market share and gross sales.

• Oversee retail distribution and exclusive product development opportunities, balancing potential with resource requirements to optimize retail margins.

• Manage US marketing forecasts, providing monthly updates to senior management and supporting sales operations with on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery.
  • Assist in A&P budget planning, identifying cost efficiencies and reallocating resources as needed.
Team Leadership
  • Regularly assess departmental resourcing needs, recruiting, interviewing, and training new staff;
  • Supervise daily workloads and performance of direct reports, providing clear direction, coaching, and support;
  • Collaborate with direct reports to establish individual KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews;
  • Manage the training and professional development of team members, emphasizing timely and constructive feedback; and
  • Promote the Moose culture to ensure team members embody our values.

Work Schedule

8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Thursday

8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Friday

30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Additional hours may be required due to varying time zones.

Moose also offers flexible working arrangements.

Travel Requirements

Some travel may be necessary.

Salary Range

USD $90,000-$100,000

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers for computer and office equipment operation.

• Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods.

• Close vision is necessary for computer work.

• Light to moderate lifting may be required.

• Frequent communication with colleagues and external parties, requiring clear speech and accurate information exchange.
