About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Medical Device Sterilization Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing processes for sterilization of 3D-tubular models, ensuring bioburden reduction, and developing robust assays and quality controls to measure and verify the process met its intent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sterilization processes for 3D-printed scaffolds
  • Conduct routine QC testing, including bioburden, endotoxin, B&F testing, growth promotion, Gram stain, microbial ID analysis, and raw materials testing
  • Develop different assays to map perfusion in 3D-printed scaffolds

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of experience in a product or process development role, preferably with a maximally invasive medical device product company
  • A Master's Degree in chemical engineering, microbiology, or related field
  • Strong understanding and experience in handling and sterilization of medical devices
  • Deep understanding in a variety of sterilization techniques - chemical and radiation methods
  • Experience in B&F testing, growth promotion, Gram stain, microbial ID analysis, endotoxin testing, bioburden testing, and raw materials testing

Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
