Center Operations Coordinator

The Center Assistant plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Sylvan Learning Center. This individual is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the Center Directors in maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch customer service to students, parents, and potential customers, ensuring a positive first impression of the Center.
- Manage phone reception, word processing, data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist Center Directors with scheduling appointments, preparing materials for parent conferences, and maintaining Center supplies.
- Support the Center Directors in maintaining the professional appearance of the Center, adhering to Sylvan standards.
- Ensure student safety and well-being by following established standards and procedures.
- May assist teachers with preparation for instruction and gather materials as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's or four-year degree preferred, but not required.
- A minimum of three years of customer service experience, with retail sales experience and/or experience in an educational setting preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Drive, and other standard business applications.
- Knowledge of general office equipment, such as copiers, printers, and office phones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong word processing, data entry, and administrative skills.
- Proven ability to effectively use consultative sales skills when serving customers.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and proofread/edit copy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to ten pounds.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
- Evening and weekend hours required.
