Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems Expert

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware and Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering team. As a key member of our Connected Aviation Solutions group, you will play a critical role in designing and developing cutting-edge power system hardware for our next-generation Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of power system hardware, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with diverse engineering disciplines to foster a collaborative ecosystem driving innovation and efficiency in product development.
  • Conduct rigorous lab testing, validating engineering change proposals and ensuring solution integrity through detailed verification test plans and reports.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration control, change management, trade studies, and preliminary and detailed design artifacts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in designing, evaluating, and testing power supplies.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) power supply devices, and Linux/Solaris operating systems.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and PCB/PWB design.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interface with diverse disciplines and stakeholders.
