We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our Precision Navigation (PNav) Hardware department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating electrical systems for our Air Traffic Navigation, Integration and Coordination System (ATNAVICS) program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for ATNAVICS program, including RF and digital circuit card assembly (CCA) design, development, integration, and test.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve obsolescence issues and debug electrical issues in the lab.
  • Support suppliers during build process and troubleshoot electrical or RF issues found during refurbishments or production.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and contribute to the development of electrical engineering best practices.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of microwave and digital circuit design, with experience in electrical engineering design tools for circuit and electromagnetic simulation.
  • Experience in a lab environment operating RF and standard test equipment, including spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Ability to perform and report EVMS data, with experience leading a team of multiple engineers.
  • Willingness to support efforts that require domestic travel and potential international travel.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
