Job Title: Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our Precision Navigation (PNav) Hardware department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating electrical systems for our Air Traffic Navigation, Integration and Coordination System (ATNAVICS) program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for ATNAVICS program, including RF and digital circuit card assembly (CCA) design, development, integration, and test.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve build issues and ensure timely delivery of components.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs in the lab to support field LRU return.
  • Identify form, fit, function replacements for obsolete components to support quarterly obsolescence reports.
  • Support manufacturing to troubleshoot electrical or RF issues found during refurbishments or production.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of microwave and digital circuit design.
  • Experience with electrical engineering design tools for circuit and electromagnetic simulation (Keysight ADS, CST, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a lab environment operating RF and standard test equipment, including spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Ability to perform and report EVMS data.
  • Experience leading a team of multiple engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of radar system theory.
  • Experience with printed wiring board (PWB) manufacturing.
  • Experience with schematic capture and board layout tools.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
