Job Title: Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Precision Navigation (PNav) Hardware department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating electrical systems for our Air Traffic Navigation, Integration and Coordination System (ATNAVICS) Mechanical and RF section.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for ATNAVICS, including RF and digital circuit card assembly (CCA) design, development, integration, and test.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs in the lab to support field LRU return.
  • Identify and document redlines to existing ATNAVICS documentation.
  • Support suppliers during the build process to help resolve any issues.
  • Support manufacturing to troubleshoot electrical or RF issues found during refurbishments or production.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of microwave and digital circuit design.
  • Experience with electrical engineering design tools for circuit and electromagnetic simulation (Keysight ADS, CST, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a lab environment operating RF and standard test equipment, including spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Ability to perform and report EVMS data.
  • Willingness to support efforts that require domestic travel and potential international travel.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
  • S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
