Job Title: Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our Precision Navigation (PNav) Hardware department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating electrical systems for our Air Traffic Navigation, Integration and Coordination System (ATNAVICS) program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for ATNAVICS program, including RF and digital circuit card assemblies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components
  • Perform troubleshooting and debugging of electrical issues in the lab
  • Identify and document redlines to existing ATNAVICS documentation
  • Support suppliers during build process to resolve issues and ensure quality
  • Work with manufacturing team to troubleshoot electrical or RF issues found during refurbishments or production
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of microwave and digital circuit design
  • Experience with Electrical Engineering design tools for circuit and electromagnetic simulation
  • Experience in a lab environment operating RF and standard test equipment
  • Ability to perform and report EVMS data
  • Experience leading a team of multiple engineers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of radar system theory
  • Experience with Printed Wiring Board (PWB) manufacturing
  • Experience with schematic capture and board layout tools
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers
