About the Role

As a Support Professional with Avita Community Partners, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build Meaningful Relationships: Develop strong, trusting relationships with the individuals you support, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Empower Independence: Support individuals to take ownership of their lives, making informed decisions and taking control of their daily routines.
  • Community Inclusion: Help individuals to participate in their communities, engaging in activities and hobbies that bring them joy and a sense of belonging.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to help individuals develop essential life skills, including self-advocacy, self-preservation, and whole health.
  • Goal Achievement: Support individuals to set and achieve their goals, helping them to fulfill their hopes and dreams.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, and six months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, or equivalent education as a CNA or Health Care Tech.
