Position Summary

As the Area Operations Manager, you will oversee the effective management and profitability of properties within a designated portfolio under the guidance of the Vice President. Your responsibilities will include directing and implementing all policies, objectives, and activities related to multi-family assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and lead a proficient property management team.
  • Foster positive relationships with regulatory bodies to enhance the Company's reputation.
  • Effectively manage properties to maximize occupancy rates.
  • Collaborate with the controller to ensure compliance with LIHTC and other regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the long-term financial performance of properties in your region.
  • Manage capital improvement budgets and projects.
  • Assist property managers in identifying and implementing areas for enhancement.
  • Improve customer service through quality resident interactions and owner satisfaction.
  • Identify growth opportunities and guide the department towards achieving broader Company objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices that comply with all company, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follow Bridge policies and procedures while complying with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of two years of regional management experience.
  • Experience with HUD and Housing is preferred.
  • Proven track record of success and performance.
  • High expectations for personal and team performance.
  • Demonstrated budgeting skills with the ability to analyze profit and loss statements.
  • Leadership experience with the capability to inspire others.
  • Professional representation of the company.
  • Current knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local housing industry laws and regulations.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-tasking environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across multiple states.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
