Job Summary

The Nutrition Specialist will be responsible for planning modified diets as requested by the attending physician or licensed practitioner. This role will involve providing nutritional assessments for patients as needed, counseling patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation, and nutritional principles. The Nutrition Specialist will also assist the Dietary Manager with menu revisions and dietary policy and procedure revisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutritional assessments for patients and provide recommendations for modified diets
  • Counsel patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation, and nutritional principles
  • Assist the Dietary Manager with menu revisions and dietary policy and procedure revisions
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient nutritional needs are met
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nutritional studies or a related field
  • State licensure as a Registered Dietitian
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in nutritional assessments
