About the Role

The Medical Technologist is a key member of our laboratory team at MultiCare Health System, responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance, and technical problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and identify patient specimens
  • Determine specimen suitability for testing
  • Prepare reagents as needed
  • Perform instrument maintenance and calibration

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Sciences
  • Certification or registry eligible for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT
  • SM (ASCP), RM (NRM) for Microbiology only
  • Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible (if duties will include phlebotomy)
  • SC, SM (ASCP), MS in Clinical Chemistry or molecular diagnostics experience preferred for Immunology only
