Job Title: Principal Microgrid Controls and Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Microgrid Controls and Automation Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing microgrid control systems and automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement microgrid control systems and automation technologies
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in microgrid control systems and automation technologies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in microgrid control systems and automation technologies
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics and their application in renewable energy systems and microgrids
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and programming languages commonly used in microgrid control systems
  • Familiarity with commonly utilized communication protocols (DNP, SEL, MMS, Modbus, etc.)
